2.4 Neighbors

This chapter begins by focusing on sims that are not part of the family.

 

 

Jazmin convinced the paparazzi Chantel Hill to move in with the Naufragos. From the moment she was part of this house, Chantel had a very important task.

 

Meet some sim with whom she could form a stable relationship and move together to a new house on Isla Paradiso.

 

Gilbert Barajas is that sim. Like Chantel, he is also a paparazzi and he likes the idea of having a real home.

 

 Just a couple of hours later they were Mr. and Mrs. Hill.

 

 They moved into the house next door. Now we have neighbors who are not called Naufragos!

 

 

While I was busy with the new residents, Kelli went to do some work. When I went to see what the client wanted, I found them like this. This is Bambú with his new look. He never settled down with his girlfriend, so I guess he likes to be free for the ladies, but in a city where two of the four women are family there are not many options to choose from.

 

 

It's Leonardo's birthday! His family cheered on him while his was thinking what his three wished would be.

He adds virtuoso to the friendly, genius and athletic traits.

With him I am going to try to win the school since it does not require money and it would be really nice to have it. He already has level 7 in logic, so now he is learning charisma. I hope I can make it in time to his young adult birthday before he leaves the house. (Yes, I just spoiled that he is not the heir).

 

 

They are up to something, I'm sure of it. 

Kelli is trying to convince Gilbert that red stilettos are all the rage, but he knows they're not comfortable enough to stand on all day while fishing.

Jazmin continues to spend the money that they barely have to enlarge her skull collection.

 

Don't complain Jazmin, that's what you have to do to get back the money you just spent.

And to end this chapter I leave you with the good news that the population is getting bigger!

2.3 Flavors

 I start this chapter with a new milestone in this challenge.

Chase maxed the cooking skill and unlocked the Diner. 

Chase is proud to present Sabores Diner (flavors in spanish). Now he can finally start working on his rolled career, which means that the househol will soon have a stable income.

 

Here is a screenshot of how the city is progressing at week 11 day 4. I'm thinking of moving a couple of sim into the house so I can move them immediately to add a new household in town. But at the same time, that implies spending a good portion of the family funds. Decisions, decisions.

 

A couple of shots of Leonardo before aging, I have neglected him a little.

His family neglected him a lot. All of the adult were walking aways while he was having a birthday. The poor thing.

But he was not the only one. Jazmín went into labor under the not so watchful eye of her family. Kelli attempted to flirt with Chase, though he rebuffed her. Her son witnessed this and felt betrayed by his mother in favor of his father, who was never interested in seeing him. 

 

 

Jazmín gave birth to a baby boy who we named Fresno, continuing the tradition of naming the Naufragos after trees and flowers in Spanish, Fresno is the ash tree. Fresno is athletic and brave.

Another nooboo appeared on the living room floor, both Jazmin and Chase were puzzled by this. I was not because that was my intention. Roble (Oak tree) is good and artistic.

 

 

I moved Leonardo out of his room, poor thing. But I think he's going to have a better time sleeping in the hallway than in a room with two babies.

 

He's going to spent his days chained to a telescope. I'm still not sure what kind of property he's going to give me, or if any, but he will be discovering as many celestial bodies as possible. We need the money! And this is the only legal way for children to do it.

 

 

Speaking of money making, Jazmin's family are Kelli's only clients. This is basically making Moira and Raylen immortals. I don't complain much because I like to see them around town. Plus, I'm thinking about Kelli providing the graveyard and the longer it takes for my founders to die the more time I have to raise money. It is not a cheap property.

 

With a rabbithole in town, performing for tips is getting a little better, even when Jazmin's audience consists of her mother and three paparazzi. I always found rabbitholes to be better places to play for tips than parks.

 

Chase's first day of work has finally come. A couple of days of hard work await you, honey. In interesting news, his mother-in-law is his boss. The choice was between her, Raylen and Bambú. LOL.

 

Moira doesn't seem too happy with her new responsibility.

 

Jazmin continues with her presentations in the park.

 

 Before the watchful eyes of exactly no one. I really need to add people to this town.

 

 Fresno and Roble aged to toddler, they seem to be identical twins and copies of Jazmin.

 

 Kelli aged to elder the same day.

 

And I totally forgot to turn down the full moon when a I made the game reinstallation. She is looking at me like saying you are an idiot. And it's true lol.

2.2 Of Babies and Birthdays

Kelli's wooing men wasn't going very well, which is to be expected in an empty town like this. Of the two sims she met, she gets along better with Coy Benton, the man who changes jobs all the time. 

This time he was working as a acrobat, so he was never available when Kelli called him but was almost all the time in the park doing exactly nothing.

They flirted a little and then become a steady couple, she may not be allowed to move in a boyfriend but that doesn't mean she can't have a relationship with someone. 

I placed a shower in the bathroom's park to work around the always working problem that comes with the showtime professions. 

Thinking about another man just after woohooing with Coy isn't okay, Kerri.

But at least the first nooboo of this gen in on their way.

While Kelli was working on bringing the third gen, Jazmin was performing for tips. 

With not very good results, I have to say. At least, she fulfilled some wishes and changed her Lifetime Wish to Master Magician.

She isn't doing very well on her gigs either, there's no audience when she makes shows. Also, something strange happened, the benches where the public seat disappeared. I didn't replace them because the household's money is tight.

At least, her family is there to support her. Or not. LOL. Poor Jazmin.

Not even showing her magic parts, Jazmin manages to have an audience for her career. I must say this is one of the worst jobs to have at the beginning of a NIFC, and Kelli's stylist career is just behind. None of the three members of this generation are making significant money.

Kelli spent her pregnancy researching new fashion concepts.

And that's what she was doing when she went into labor.

Baby Leonardo was born a genius and I selected friendly as his second trait. I hope he's a redhead like his father, I want a bit of diversity in this city.

I shortened the maternity leave with Master Controller so Kelli could go back to work sooner. She's also the one in charge of the repairs and upgrades in the house and at her job. I still don't know what building she will provide, I would like a bookstore but I don't know if we will have the money. Another option is the military rabbithole that only skills requirement.

Despite my doubts, life goes on.

Leonardo had his first birthday, her mother was more worried about the laundry than her baby on the floor.

He has his father's red hair and his mother's purple eyes, which makes for a weird contrast. But I'm happy with his hair color.

A couple of days later was Jazmin's turn to age. She was painting Kerri's portrait when the sparkles hit.

Jazmin's birthday interrupted Chase cooking. Luckily, the fire was put out quickly and no object needed to be replaced.

Chase's birthday is the last of this update. Now that both of them are full adults it's time to look for the other two children of the third generation.

And the bells were heard.
